Sultry isn’t a word that you’d normally associate with me, but when I laid eyes on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette, it was love at first sight. I was lucky enough to get it for Christmas (Happy New Year by the way), and I’ve had a lot of fun playing about with it.
When it comes to eyeshadow, I’m always more drawn to a smokey eye and this palette is described as a smokey eye palette so it was meant to be. I have quite a few ABH palettes and I love them, and Sultry is no exception.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry contains 14 gorgeous shades that range from gold and bronze to coral and black. There’s a great range of shades that make this a fabulously versatile palette, but for me, it’s the bronze and rose gold that initially made me fall for this little beauty.
12 of the shades are totally new and the palette is on the cooler end of the spectrum which is a bit of a departure from what I would normally go for. However, there is still a decent amount of warmth in the palette, so if you’re like me and love the warm tones, don’t panic.
The metallics are soft and buttery and glide on like a dream. They’re well pigmented and look absolutely stunning. I struggled a little bit with the matte shades, mostly the black, as they seemed a little bit dry when swatching, but they worked well with a brush and applied well. I would recommend an eyeshadow primer if you’re going for a very metallic look as the staying power wasn’t amazing without primer.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette is certainly beautiful. It’s not the best palette in the world in terms of staying power and quality, but it is stunning. It is so worth having in your collection and I will definitely be playing around with this a lot more. At £46.00 it is on the pricey end of the scale, but if you’re an Anastasia fan then you won’t mind paying the price. I do think that it is fairly good value for money considering you get 14 shades and I am certainly glad that it was under my tree.
I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and that 2019 is a great year for you.
