Bioderma is one of those brands that I always think I’ve tried loads from but actually haven’t. They’ve kindly sent me three of their products to try out, including the one product I have used before and two others that I’ve really enjoyed using.
I seem to have been inundated with skincare recently and it’s taking me quite some time to get through all the testing. Even if there seems to be several skincare posts close together on my blog, be reassured that each item has been put to the test.
I’ll kick off with the product I was already familiar with – their Hydrabio H2O Micellar Water.
I have also used the Sensibio one and I love them both. This was one of the first micellar waters that I ever tried and it is one I go back to quite regularly. Not only does it easily remove your makeup, it respects the fragility of the skin and helps to stimulate moisture.
The fatty acid esters in the water are similar to the phospholipids found in the skin’s cell membrane. They help to rebuild the skin’s hydrolipidic film, meaning more moisture is retained. It also contains Aquagenium and this retrains the skin’s natural moisturising capacities to retain water and keep the skin balanced.
I love how fresh my skin feels after using this and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes, even when I’ve got a lot of eye makeup to remove. If your skin is more on the dry side, give this a try.
If you have skin that’s not very tolerant to ingredients and is very reactive, then you need to try the Sensibio Rich Soothing Cream.
The nourishing cream has been formulated to biologically strengthen the skin’s resistance to attacks. It cleverly inhibits the production of the pro-inflammatory molecules which results in your skin being far less reactive to products and the environment. That overheating sensation and tightness you can get when your skin is reactive is instantly soothed thanks to Glycyrrhetinic Acid.
I’ve been using this almost as a primer as it makes a great base for makeup, and I have noticed that my skin isn’t reacting as much as it sometimes does to the harsher products in my skincare collection. Your skin is left soothed, nourished and protected.
Finally, we have the Hydrabio Creme which is ideal for providing hydration and radiance to the complexion.
The creme contains Vitamin PP to strengthen resistance and Vitamin E to protect the skin and combat premature ageing. Apple Seed Extract stimulates Aquaporis allowing water flow within the skin helping it to feel more hydrated.
The ingredients deeply penetrate the skin helping it to regain natural hydration. Dead skin cells are also eliminated whilst salicylic acid evens and smoothes the skin. You’re left with skin that is soft, hydrated and radiant and that feeling lasts throughout the day. This is definitely a must try if you have dry skin.
I’ve been really impressed with these products and they’re definitely going to be where I turn when my skin decides it wants to be dry, fussy and a pain in the arse!
You can find a wide range of Bioderma products at Boots.
