Jo Malone Frangipani Flower is one of the Blossoms Collection and I’ve very kindly been sent it to review. You know that Spring has arrived when Jo Malone launch the Blossoms and this year’s collection is beautiful. You can read my post on last year’s here. With a range of colognes, candles, diffusers and hair mists, this is a limited edition collection not to be missed.
LOSE YOURSELF IN A WORLD OF BLOSSOMS
An otherworldly realm. A dimension steeped in colour, where blossoms burst through like beams of light. These are longed-for blossoms, long-loved blossoms and radiant new blossoms. Unfurling with a fresh lightness and infusing the air with scent. Step into a luminous wonderland.
There are 4 scents available: Orange Blossom, Frangipani Flower, Silk Blossom and Star Magnolia. Now I do have Star Magnolia, although it is in a different bottle as I purchased it some time ago. I am very tempted to treat myself to the Silk Blossom candle but I have just purchased two other Jo Malone colognes so I’d best be good.
Blossoms have such a happy feel. There’s a sparkle and a luminosity to them. We choose different ons to return each year – this time we wanted to play with our previous limited editions while also celebrating one of the blossoms in our regular line-up. So, there’s Silk Blossom, Star Magnolia and Orange Blossom as well as the new Frangipani Flower – they all work really well together as a blossom family.Celine Roux, Head of Global Development
Falling into the heart of a frangipani flower. Entranced by its solar warmth and sweet, airy lightness. Accentuated by luminous jasmine petals and exotic ylang ylang. Underpinned by creamy sandalwood and topped with a fresh twist of lemon.
I was so excited when this arrived that within seconds I’d ripped open the package and was spraying it. I wish there were scratch and sniff computer screens as this smells so incredibly beautiful. Obviously it’s nice and floral, but not overly so. There’s a lovely citrus element and a subtle but sensual woodiness too.
Jasmine Petals – adds a delicate softness
Frangipani – its exotic and solar feel captivates and provides a floral luminosity
Sandalwood – creamy, warm and sensual, it strengthens and extends the longevity of the scent
Celine Roux, the Head of Global Development, recommends pairing Frangipani Flower with Honeysuckle & Davana for an intense floral combination. I’ve tried this and the result is stunning and I can see myself pairing them together a lot over the Spring and Summer. Marie Salamagne, the Master Perfumer, suggests pairing it with Red Roses to emphasise the dewy notes. I’m now trying to resist the urge to buy Red Roses as my small bottle has run out. Being a Jo Malone addict is a real thing you know!
Jo Malone Frangipani Flower, and the other products in the collection, are available for a limited time on the Jo Malone website.
