The IT Cosmetics Illuminating CC Cream (there’s a fancier name but you get the point), is the makeup product I never knew I needed.
I’m a new convert to the IT way of life and I recently reviewed a few of their products including the original CC Cream. I adored it and didn’t think things could get much better base wise … until they kindly sent me the Illuminating version. There is also an oil-free version for those of you with oilier skin although I haven’t tried that out to compare.
When it comes to my base, I do tend to shy away from anything that is full coverage. I’ve lost count of the number of foundations I have tried that have ended up a hot cakey mess by the end of the day and my preference is definitely towards more sheer products. However, after trying the original CC cream, I knew that I wouldn’t have that problem with this.
Admittedly I do use it quite sparingly as I’m not a fan of too much product on my face, but a little goes a long way. I blend it out so that I definitely get the coverage whilst still leaving my skin looking more natural. I’ve been using a flat headed kabuki brush to apply the product but think that I’m soon going to invest in the Heavenly Skin Perfecting Brush (702).
WHAT MAKES THIS SO GOOD?
The IT Cosmetics Illuminating CC Cream is so much more than a foundation. It is infused with little light reflecting pigments that add a gorgeous radiance to the complexion without any glitter or shimmer. There are anti-ageing benefits and broad spectrum mineral sunscreens (with SPF 50), offer protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
You can tell that IT have worked with plastic surgeons on this as it is basically plastic surgery in a tube. Imperfections are blurred, pores appear minimised, lines are smoother … it’s miracle stuff! One of the main problems that I have with full coverage products is that they can feel really drying on my skin – almost like they’re sucking all of the moisture out. The Illuminating CC Cream contains hyaluronic acid which helps to hydrate the skin, so you don’t get that heavy drying feeling.
Soy extract helps to strengthen the skin whilst collagen and hydrolysed silk help to keep it firm. It also contains grapefruit, bergamot, orange and lemon oils that help to infuse the skin with vitamins. This is like the dream blend of makeup, skincare and science all wrapped up together.
I hadn’t really thought that my makeup routine was missing anything until I tried this. Now I know that it was missing everything. You can purchase the IT Cosmetics Illuminating CC Cream for £31.00 at retailers such as Cult Beauty.
