When the Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation was first launched, I decided that I didn’t want to try it. We all know that I’m all about the glow and matte foundations never seem to work for me. So I let it pass me by and didn’t really give it another thought.
I am a big fan of Too Faced’s Peach products, from the Sweet Peach palette to the Peaches and Cream range. Not only do they all perform well and look beautiful but they smell amazing. I currently have quite a long wishlist of products I want to add to my collection.
A couple of weeks ago, an email popped up saying that there were now 10 new shades of the Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation and would I be interested in reviewing it.
Now recently I haven’t been wearing too much foundation and have been opting more for tinted moisturisers and complexion boosters, but I need something a bit more at the moment. My Dad had a stroke earlier this month and I am now pretty much his carer, so I look shattered. There’s no healthy glow going on here this week and I needed something to give me some coverage whilst still keeping me looking fresh and natural. Thank God I said yes to reviewing this as it has been just what I have needed.
Whenever I think of matte foundations I always think that they’re going to be really thick and mask-like but this is different. For a start, it’s not thick and has a much thinner consistency than I had been expecting. Secondly, my skin can breathe underneath it and I don’t feel like I have foundation on. Already it’s a winner for me.
The formula is beautifully lightweight, oil-free and leaves your skin feeling velvety soft. It is unlike any other matte foundation that I have ever tried. Plus the pump dispenser gives you just the right amount of product so you don’t feel like you are wasting any product.
The coverage is medium but you can build it up if you want to. I apply it with a damp beauty blender and can blend it out for the lighter coverage that I prefer. Recently I’ve been extremely grateful for having a bit more coverage than I normally go for, but I’m glad I can sheer it out if I need to. It is transfer-resistant, blends perfectly and smells of Peach and Sweet Fig Milk … it’s gorgeous.
With built-in optical correctors, your skin is left with a powerless, moisture-matte finish that looks fresh and natural but also ridiculously flawless. It leaves your skin looking almost airbrushed, but still like your skin. I’m a bit obsessed with it to be honest. Exclusive comfort matte technology ensures that the foundation never cakes and prevents that dreaded mask-like feeling. Oil is controlled thanks to ultra-fine pigments that are resilient to oil and sweat, so the finish stays flawless all day.
The shade range is really good, especially now they’ve added the 10 new shades.
With 30 shades in total (including Cloud and Marshmallow that I have), Too Faced have done really well at being more inclusive. So if you want 14 hour, photo-ready, flawless looking skin, then you’re going to want to try Too Faced Peach Perfect. At £27.00 it’s not too highly priced and if it can convert me then it can convert anyone.
You can pick it up at several retailers, but Debenhams currently have it on offer, so run … now!!!
